So, those of you in the Bay Area are well aware of the Macarthur Maze explosion. A tanker truck was speeding around a turn early Sunday morning on the freeway right in a major merging point for different routes coming together. When the crash happened, oil spilled and caused a fire that melted the freeway. It later collapsed. Fortunately no one died and only the tank driver was injured. He was okay last I heard. Strangely enough this was the second time this exact scenario happened in the exact same place! (photo on left) In 1995 this happened, also on a Sunday morning in the spring. Weird! That time the driver died and others were injured. Traffic has been a beast since. I drove out to my old neighborhood in Oakland to visit my friend the other day. A normally 15 minute drive took 45 minutes. The freeway was literally a parking lot! We're all familiar with freeway traffic here but still.

Anyway, Drew is still in contact with the schools about those jobs. He's found out some of them are not wheelchair accessible. So continue to think of him as his search continues. Thanks!
