He's got his first real gig tonight. It's for the San Jose High Academy's alumni golf tournament banquet. He will have a full 30 minutes. He is one of 2 people performing. He will get paid. Woo-hoo!!! There will be someone videotaping him tonight so we will try to add that to the blog soon. I tried to add audio of him performing last Monday at Tommy T's. But stupid blogspot didn't accept it. He won the open mic contest that night and got "half the door" (half the ticket money)!! Apparently, he was the only one who had everyone in the audience laughing. It was a good night to win it because there was a great turn out. Very exciting! He is there every Monday night and usually on Tuesdays at the San Jose Improv. He used to also perform in SF at the Clubhouse but it is a real pain to get to with parking or BART. He still goes to classes in Sunnyvale thru the Comedy College on Sundays.

Unfortunately, Hannah was up to her eyeballs in TPEs and artifacts for her iCAP so she could not see him win his first payment for his comedy. Of course that was all educational jargon (that will be changing next year, too). Basically it means she was doing a major online portfolio involving 13 papers and lots of scans of student work, lesson plans and documents to attest to professional growth. But it's done!!! The credential should be in the mail in a couple of weeks. El Cerrito High still has one more month of school so she will be finishing student teaching then. It will be weird for her to not go to SF state everyday anymore. Weird but nice ;) But now is the time for applying for more jobs and interviewing. Kicking that into high gear now that the iCAP is done. There are some leads so fingers crossed. For us both!!
